South African born jazz trumpeter and composer Lwanda Gogwana has worked with a plethora of artists including Tete Mbambisa band, Bokani Dyer, Kyle Shepherd, just to name a few. Greatly recognised on South African soil for his talent, he's a 3 time 2012 South African Music Award nominee for Best jazz, Best Newcomer and Male artist of the year. His track 'All Ok' features on the new Brownswood Recordings compilation album Indaba Is, being a celebration of South African jazz. From the dramatic drumming, unusual vocal melodies, use of the vocoder, and chilled groove, 'All Ok' takes you on a journey through some twisting routes, for an exciting ride.
